Individual Psychotherapy

Self-Esteem & Identity

Explore how early experiences shaped the way you see yourself. We’ll work to understand patterns of self-criticism, reclaim strengths, and build a more stable, compassionate sense of self.

Anxiety &
Depression

Understand the emotional patterns beneath anxiety and low mood. Therapy focuses on insight, emotional regulation, and developing healthier ways of responding to stress and internal pressure.

ADHD & Executive Functioning

Support for individuals with ADHD navigating focus, emotional regulation, and the impact of being misunderstood.

Emotional Regulation

Develop tools to manage intense emotions while also understanding where they come from. Learn practical strategies for stress, frustration, and emotional overwhelm.

Narrative Reframing

Examine the stories you learned about yourself and how they continue to shape your choices. Together we will make meaning and re-author narratives from a place of insight, agency, and strength.

Emotional Awareness & Communication

Build language for your inner experience and learn to express needs more clearly in relationships. Expanding emotional awareness often leads to improved connection and reduced conflict.

Meet Sydney Denmark, Licensed Psychotherapist

I'm Sydney, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and supervisor dedicated to providing psychotherapy that empowers individuals. My approach focuses on uncovering and building upon each person’s inherent strengths.

I earned my Master’s degree from the Graduate School of Social Work and Social Research at Bryn Mawr College and completed a Clinical Fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at Boston Children's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I am currently a doctoral student at the University of Pennsylvania.

My passion for this work stems from a deep recognition that traditional systems often fail to honor the diverse ways people think, learn, and grow—an understanding that drives my commitment to fostering confidence and self-discovery in those I work with.

FAQs

Our initial 50-minute consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, explore your goals, and determine if we're a good fit. This session helps us create a foundation for our work together and develop a personalized approach that honors your unique way of thinking and learning.

We operate as a private-pay practice and do not accept insurance. This allows us to provide focused, personalized care without the limitations often imposed by insurance companies. We can provide you with a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement if needed.

Most clients begin with weekly 50-minute sessions to establish momentum and build a strong therapeutic relationship. As you progress, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs and goals. Consistency is key to creating meaningful change and maintaining progress.

We require 24 hours notice for cancellations. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full session fee. This policy helps maintain the structure needed for effective therapy and ensures availability for all clients.
